Hello. SDT successfully held the ‘Quantum Computing In Finance Forum’ on April 29 at Voco in Gangnam, Seoul.

This forum was hosted by SDT and co-organized by the Future Quantum Convergence Forum, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), and Korea Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), aiming to explore the integration possibilities between the financial industry and quantum technology, discussing practical application measures.

Exploring the Intersection of Quantum Technology and the Financial Industry

This forum aimed to diagnose the changes quantum computing technology will bring to the domestic financial industry and to clarify the future direction through global case studies.
SDT led the overall planning and operation of the event, focusing on shedding light on the practical introduction possibilities of quantum technology within the financial industry as a technology company.

Key Institutions and Speakers from Home and Abroad Participated… High Interest and Expertise Confirmed

The forum featured experts from prestigious domestic and international financial institutions and research organizations as speakers.
Organizations from various fields, including JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, Deloitte, QCentroid, Opetek, Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), and Yonsei University, participated, making it a meaningful time to share technical depth and insights from the industry.

SDT also actively participated in the operation of key sessions and technical discussions, sharing not only from the perspective of technology providers but also concretely about the potential for practical connections with the industry.

• Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA): Solving Complex Problems in the Financial Sector

Through these sessions, practical discussions were held on how quantum computing could be utilized in key areas of finance, such as portfolio optimization, risk assessment, and fraud detection.

SDT's Role and Future Direction

SDT once again confirmed its role as a platform and technology provider accelerating the introduction of quantum technology into the industrial field through this forum.
In particular, it reinforced its direction to serve as a technological bridge to enable domestic financial institutions to secure global competitiveness through quantum computing.
